As a student of writing, I’m not only obliged to tell the truth in the words that get on the blank page, but also to live it. This is a difficult decision to make.
February 29th will be the last day that The Daily Damn is published.
I’ve been given an incredible opportunity to use the craft of writing in a way that is about to completely change my life. Because of this, I will no longer be able to perform the managerial, editorial, or publishing duties that comes with running this website any longer. Simply put, we’re shutting it down.
The staff and contributing parties have all been previously notified, and I will remain in debt to them, as they have all been stellar writers in the most valiant of efforts.
Now, does this mean that The Daily Damn is going away from the Internet? Not at all. The existing content will be available until the end of 2012. It’s even possible I’ll be on here with some of you to post from time to time. But for now, all of this that has been what you’ve come to expect from us will be no more.
It’s literally one of the hardest choices I’ve ever had to make. But it’s been made. More is to come from this development, so in the meantime, I will just thank you from the very bottom of my heart for being a part of The Daily Damn.
Write the Truth,
Andrew M. Flynn
